It is exceptionally high quality - the only similar Essex crystal watches we've seen were all retailed through Tiffany and Cressarow made many cases for Tiffany.
Founded by Henry Blank in the late nineteenth century, Cresarrow of New York was one of the best American case manufacturers of the day. They contracted with Patek, Vacheron & Constantin, Tiffany, Cartier, IWC and also a few lesser known houses to build some of the beautiful examples of their early wristwatch cases.
This incredibly pleasing watch made for nautical lovers is a prime example of this phenomenon. We were very fortunate to acquire it. The wonderful gold components of the bracelet are made to look like nautically themed charms including a ships wheel, anchor, life saver, and our favorite, a pair of seahorses.
But the true centerpieces of the watch are the Essex crystals - they are exquisite! This is a watch rich in details.
This special watch presents in excellent condition. Its dial is original, and its case and bracelet are better than near mint. Its Essex crystals appear flawless to the naked eye.
